10 Vintage-Looking Mirrors Under $300
I searched for beautiful antique inspired mirrors around $300 and under. These are the ones I’d actually consider buying.
When I started looking for a mirror for my dining room I knew I needed something large. I also assumed that meant I would need to spend a lot of money.
I wanted something large enough to feel substantial in a room with 11 foot ceilings, with warmth and an antique feeling. I wanted ornament, but not so much ornament that it felt gaudy. So I couldn’t believe my luck when I found an antique inspired gold mirror measuring 36 × 58 inches for under $300. With free shipping and free returns there wasn’t much risk in ordering it to see how it looked in the room. I’m so glad I did. I still love it every time I walk past it.
Finding my mirror made me curious about what else is out there. And there are some wonderful vintage-looking mirrors at surprisingly reasonable prices, in all sorts of shapes, sizes and styles. Here are the ones that caught my eye.
Looking through them, I found that listing photos only tell you so much. Some mirrors looked even better once I got to the customer photos, while others were less convincing in real rooms. Some had beautiful proportions but finishes that looked a little too new. And some inexpensive mirrors had small details that made them look much more expensive than they were.
For this list, I stayed under $300 and looked for the things that mattered to me in my own search: beautiful proportions, convincing finishes, interesting details, good scale for the money and, whenever possible, reassuring customer reviews and photographs.
Here are the ones that made the cut.

This is the mirror I kept coming back to. It feels grand and elegant without being overly ornate. I love the gentle curves across the top and the way the embellishments are beautifully balanced without overwhelming the graceful shape. Even the small beaded detail along the inside edge adds a little depth.
There’s something almost old conservatory or European garden room about it. It has the kind of architectural presence that makes me imagine it in a room with some history, where it might look as though it had always belonged. It feels less like a decorative accessory and more like part of the room.
For a mirror this large, the price is especially interesting. And with a substantial customer review history behind it, there’s more than just a beautiful photograph to go on.
Why I like it: grand proportions, architectural presence and a romantic old-world feeling that’s hard to find at this price.
2. Pottery Barn Olivia 37 × 26 Arch Mirror
Best Understated Vintage look
After the grandness of the first mirror, I love the graceful simplicity of this one. The frame is slender and understated, with a gently shaped arch that gives it such an elegant silhouette.
There’s something distinctly vintage looking about the shape, but it doesn’t feel like it’s trying to reproduce an antique. The soft curves and slender frame give it an elegance that could work just as beautifully in an older home as in a more contemporary room.
I also like the restraint of the frame. There’s just enough detail and warmth to give it character, but the shape is really what makes the mirror beautiful.
Why I like it: graceful lines, a subtle vintage feeling and a beautiful shape that doesn’t need embelishments to make an impression.
3. Kate & Laurel Arendahl 18 × 58 Mirror
Best Tall Architectural Look
At only 18 inches wide and 58 inches tall, this one has a completely different presence. The narrow proportions give it an almost pier-mirror-inspired architectural quality, and I think it could be particularly beautiful in one of those awkward narrow stretches of wall where a conventional mirror feels too wide.
I also like that the ornament doesn’t overwhelm the shape. It feels decorative and vintage without becoming heavy.
Why I like it: elegant proportions and an architectural vintage feeling in a relatively narrow footprint.
4. Camilla French Ornate Mirror by West Frames
Best Classic Vintage Frame
The finish on this mirror is what immediately caught my eye.
Rather than a smooth, uniformly painted gold, the frame has an antique gold and gray patina that gives it more dimension and age. I also love the detail along the inside edge of the frame. It’s a small thing, but those extra layers are often what make a mirror look more expensive.
Another reason this one stood out is that the frame is actually wood and West Frames is an established framing company rather than an anonymous marketplace brand.
If your priority is convincing age, this one i’d look at more closely.
Why I like it: real wood, beautiful patina, refined detailing and the option to add beveled glass.
5. Birch Lane Emmeline Metal Arched Mirror
Most Versatile Vintage Look
There’s a beautiful simplicity to this mirror. It has decorative details, but they’re restrained, allowing the shape and the faded, aged-looking gold finish to do much of the work.
I especially like that the finish isn’t perfectly uniform. It gives the mirror a sense of age that a shinier gold frame wouldn’t have. That is exactly why I think it could work in so many homes. I can imagine it in an old house, cottage, a traditional home or even a more contemporary room that needs something with a little age.
It also comes in multiple sizes, which makes it easier to find one that works for your space.
Why I like it: understated, versatile, and convincingly aged without trying too hard.

I like the arched shape, the small flourish at the top and the subtle detailing around the frame. It feels sweet and vintage-inspired without becoming overly ornate.
It also has an very reassuring customer review history for this category. And there’s a bonus I really appreciate. The listing carries Global Recycled Standard certification and states that the product contains at lease 50% recycled material, which is pretty impressive for a mirror at this price.
Why I like it: lots of vintage character for the price, strong reviews and verified recycled content.

This one feels different from the heavier reproductions.
The delicate gold frame and floral detailing give it a romantic, feminine, almost garden-like quality. I could especially see it in a soft bedroom, dressing area or teenage girl’s room where you want something vintage-inspired without the weight of a traditional ornate mirror.
Here, the flowers and foliage are really the point, giving the mirror its own romantic character.

8. World Market Antique Bronze 26 × 72 Leaning Mirror

This is another one that made me stop because of the proportions. At roughly six feet tall but only 26 inches wide, it feels graceful rather than bulky. I especially like the rounded corners at the bottom. They’re a small detail, but they give the whole shape a gentler feel. The antique bronze finish is also a nice change from all the gold.
There aren’t many reviews yet, which would normally make me cautious. But the early feedback is positive and seeing it in a customers actual room gave me considerably more confidence in the way the finish and frame look in real life.

9. Ophelia and Co. Vintage Oval Mirror
Best Color Options
This one earns its place partly because of the finish options.
I like it in standard gold and black, but i especially like the antique silver and hunter green versions. The shape and ornament already feel vintage, so putting that detailing into a less expected color makes the mirror feel more like an intentional decorating choice. The beveled glass is a nice finishing detail too, and gives the mirror a little more depth.
The Hunter Green could be wonderful in a botanical room, against wallpaper or in a small powder room.
And unlike some of my more adventurous picks, this one has a substantial review history behind it.
Why I like it: Vintage detailing, a beautiful oval shape and some genuinely interesting color choices.
10. Astoria Grand Arch Wall Mirror for Fireplace or Entryway

This one caught my attention because the shape and detailing are so distinctive. It has the ornament and warm gold finish of a traditional antique- inspired mirror, but the three-part design gives it a completely different presence from most of the mirrors on this list
There’s something about the shape that reminds me of a charming old three-part vanity mirror. I also love the beautiful foot-like flourishes along the bottom. Its horizontal quality is another reason it caught my eye. At 48 inches wide, it feels especially well suited to a fireplace mantel or a long stretch of wall. There’s plenty of decoration, but everything is so well proportioned that the mirror never feels overly heavy.
With a substantial number of positive reviews behind it, this is also a more reassuring choice.
why I like it: The beautiful three-part arches, old world detailing and a shape that could make an ordinary mantel much more interesting.
What I Look For in a Vintage-Looking Mirror Online
After looking at far too many mirrors, I started noticing the same things over and over.
Look closely at the finish. Finishes can be particularly difficult to judge online. Look at several product images to see whether the color is bright or muted, uniform or varied, and whether it has the appropriate aged quality you’re looking for.
Don’t overlook the small details. Beading, beveled glass and decorative trim are often part of vintage-inspired mirrors, but they can be easy to miss when shopping online. Take a close look at product images. You may find details that aren’t obvious at first glance.
Customer photos get a vote.
I’ve seen mirrors I loved in the manufacturer’s photographs that became considerably less appealing once I saw them hanging in someone’s hallway.
I’ve also seen the opposite.
If a mirror still looks beautiful in the middle of someone’s everyday clutter, that’s a pretty good endorsement.
Before You Order a Large Mirror
My trick is incredibly low tech:
Put painter’s tape on the wall in the exact dimensions of the mirror before ordering it.
A review that says “smaller than I expected” doesn’t necessarily tell me anything about the quality of the mirror if the listed dimensions were accurate. Mirrors are particularly difficult to judge online because photographs can make them look enormous or surprisingly small.
I’d also check weight, hanging hardware and whether the mirror can be wall mounted, leaned or both. If a floor mirror includes an easel stand you don’t particularly like, see whether it can simply be mounted or leaned instead. A bad looking stand doesn’t necessarily make it a bad looking mirror.
Finally, look through the lowest reviews. I’m much more concerned by repeated reports of warped reflections, inaccurate dimensions, or a cheap looking finish than I am by one person saying the mirror wasn’t quite the color they expected.
A mirror can do so much for a room. Bring in light, create a sense of space, and reflect back the things you love. And one with a little vintage character can bring a sense of history and charm along with it.
